Senior Project Manager

Position Summary
As a Senior Project manager, you will be part of a fast-paced Infection Prevention Technologies R&D team located in the greater Cleveland area. This role is responsible for leading the design and development of electro-optical solutions for sterility assurance capital products to meet customers’ and business needs. A successful candidate will own the project from initial concept through production by leading a cross-functional team following design controls, new product development, and engineering change procedures according to STERIS quality system.
Duties
- Develops, maintains, and executes project plans according to STERIS procedures and standards and ensures adherence to these throughout the project.
- Leads project team in definition, design, development, and verification of software-controlled electro-optical capital equipment that meet business needs and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinates technical discussions and reviews to expedite solutions and implementation.
- Collaborates across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and Operation functions for coordination of project activities and deliverables.
- Reviews and refines estimates for scheduled milestones and product release.
- Coordinates and allocates resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Monitors project progress identifies potential risks and develops mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Conducts regular status meetings and communicates project updates on a regular basis to stakeholders and senior management.
- Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
- Identifies and tracks key performance indicators for reporting and data-driven decision-making.
- Oversees creation of design history file and device master record and transfer of these to production.
- Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating project outcomes, identifying areas for optimization and implementing lessons learned in future projects.

Required Experience
- Requires 10+ years of progressive experience in working on and then leading engineering projects.
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Physics, or other science (A degree in another discipline may be acceptable with proven education and/or training and demonstrated experience.)
- Five or more years of experience in product development of systems with medium or higher complexity.
- Three or more years of experience management of engineering project.
- PMP Certification or training in project management is desirable.
- Three or more years of experience in design and manufacture of medical devices or other regulated products is desirable
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional team player and adept with conflict management.

Pay range for this opportunity is $90,250.00 – $121,485.00. This position is eligible for [BONUS PARTICIPATION] OR a [INSERT COMMISSION RATE RANGE, IF APPLICABLE] commission.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
