Position Summary

If so, join our Strategic Operations team as a Strategy & Operations Manager. The Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the Life Sciences Equipment and Service organization’s field service team by managing service parts processes. Responsible for analyzing data, generating insightful reports, and driving initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our Life Sciences parts operations. Participates in the identification, development, and evaluation of new Balanced Scorecard strategic initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities. Accountable for overseeing project budgets, timelines, and resources, as well as working closely with Operations Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
What You Will Do
Continually monitor and evaluate service parts operations. (50%)
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and evaluate parts operations performance metrics. Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Recommend and implement process enhancements, automation, and technological solutions to drive operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including field service managers, technicians, and supply chain, to understand their needs and challenges. Act as a liaison between field service and other departments to ensure effective communication and alignment of objectives.
- Parts Inventory Management: Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to develop and execute inventory management strategies and reports. Monitor parts usage, obsolescence, and replenishment needs. Propose and implement inventory optimization initiatives to minimize stockouts, reduce carrying costs, and improve overall inventory turnover.
- Training and Documentation: Develop training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and documentation to support the field service organization in parts-related processes. Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to ensure proper understanding and adherence to established procedures.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards related to parts operations. Implement quality control measures, conduct audits, and drive corrective actions, as necessary.
Provide service parts reporting and analytical support to the Life Sciences Equipment and Service team. (25%)
- Reporting and Data Analysis: Collect, consolidate, and analyze data related to service parts operations, including inventory levels, demand forecasting, order fulfilment, and parts availability. Generate accurate and timely reports, dashboards, and metrics to provide insights and facilitate informed decision-making.
Manage strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects related to service parts operations (25%)
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve parts operations processes and workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including field service, supply chain, and IT, to design and implement efficient and standardized processes that streamline parts management.
- Project Management: Lead projects focused on optimizing parts operations. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Coordinate resources, manage project tasks, track progress, and ensure successful project completion within specified timelines and budget.
What You Need To Be Successful
- Bachelor Degree in Business or Management
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst, Operations Manager, or in a similar analytical role
- Project management experience, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects to achieve desired outcomes within specified timelines and resources.
- Experience authoring reports to extract data from a centralized warehouse.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and generate meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Domestic and International travel required.
Hybrid position. Must live within commutable distance from Mentor, Ohio STERIS location.
