The Role: Repair Coordinator – Birmingham, AL.


As a Repair Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring day to day operations run smoothly within our repairs department! You will partner with our Device Repair management team to ensure all orders are being processed efficiently, correctly and at the level of quality our Customers desire. This role is located at our Instrument Management Services facility in Birmingham, AL. At this state of the art facility we repair and restore various medical tools, devices, and equipment. As a Repair Coordinator, you will work specifically with our Endoscope Repair Team.

Your day to day will consist of, but not limited to:

  • Entering and correcting repair data/information in our internal Oracle Database System, and other software when needed.
  • Maintaining a database of historical information and knowledge to assist in expediting and routing specific types of repairs.
  • Notifying and working with department managers/leaders of issues during daily reviews of repair statuses.
  • Responding to billing and invoice inquires from Customers and internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Providing additional administrative/clerical assistance when and where needed.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date documents, files, and other information pertaining to the status of multiple repairs.
  • Completing additional daily/weekly/monthly task as assigned.
  • Working in full awareness and conform to company operating standard, goals, and objectives.

What skills, experience, and abilities will make you successful in this role?


  • High School Diploma / GED required

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably within customer/client services.

  • Experience and ability to multitask or shift priorities as needed to best support business operations.

  • Ability and willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges and projects for the better of the role, team, and company.

  • Experience working in the Medical Device industry – Preferred

  • Experience working in a fast paced environment.

  • Experience working within ERP systems, Oracle or SAP preferred.

  • Proficiency in all things Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, OneNote, Outlook)

  • Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences both internally and externally.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and time efficiency.

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime hours as needed.
