The Role


The Project Manager, Customer Pricing & Data Governance will support the Commercial Operations group by working on lean initiatives, software implementation/upgrades and operational efficiencies under the leadership of the Manager, Pricing & Contract Management and Corporate Accounts. The Project Manager, Customer Pricing & Data Governance will partner with healthcare leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to understand their business and analytic needs and provide data and insights to support ongoing improvement of business efficiencies and profitability. They will be responsible for managing and executing projects within Pricing & Contract Management and Corporate Accounts.

Project Manager, Customer Pricing & Data Governance will provide front-line coaching and mentoring to Pricing & Contract Administration Analyst. This includes, but is not limited to, systems, process, and project support. The individual will seek improvement opportunities for the team by identifying areas of training, project and workload management and other areas as identified by Management.

++This is a hybrid position – the team meets in the office twice per week at our Mentor location.++

What You Will Do


Project Management — 50%

  • Working closely with Pricing & Contract Management and Corporate Accounts leadership, define, develop and implement specific improvement opportunities as they relate to the efficiency and profitability of the Healthcare business.
  • Lead the planning, directing, coordinating, and driving of multiple projects, varying in size and scope and recommend revisions in project work plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Facilitate the definition of projects’ scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Manage all resources assigned to the effort, including defining each team member’s role and responsibility
  • Prepare and present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions
  • Develop a project agenda and prioritize based on impact and timelines
  • Participate in webinars, training sessions, and user groups to become the STERIS expert on the project subject matter
  • Drive project teams to make decisions, complete tasks and execute the plan based on defined deliverables and timelines
  • Develop metrics for each initiative to track progress and share with HC leadership and team members
  • Use lean philosophies and methodology for process improvement
  • Measure implemented solutions

Customer Contract Compliance Measurement, Reporting, and Analysis – 25%

  • Works with the pricing & contracts analyst across the Healthcare business unit to ensure compliance related language included in contracts can be monitored and enforced.
  • Establishes and leads monthly process to review Customer sales volumes, market share expectations, and other Customer oriented metrics as compared to Customer compliance commitment.
  • Partners with Sales Leaders to monitor all placement program compliance commitments. Ensure proper, professional Customer notification for failure to meet minimum commitments. Ensures execution of contractual remedies for non-compliance.
  • Establishes & leads GPO, IDN, RPC, Aggregation Group and Product Placement Program exemption process that includes monitoring, rationale, and follow up.
  • Owns and communicates routine metrics, including a monthly scorecard monitoring the impact of compliance across all Customer contract types.
  • Provides routine updates to the Healthcare Management Team regarding cumulative impact from enforcement as well as missed opportunities. Leverages Root Cause, Counter Measure thinking related to strategies to combat missed opportunities.

Data Analysis and Reporting — 25%

  • Conduct data gathering and analysis by using multiple database management tools. Analyze large, complex datasets to drive actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare, analyze, and summarize data, make presentation of findings and provide written and verbal recommendations for improvement
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis to Pricing & Contract Management and Corporate Accounts

What You Need To Be Successful


  • Minimum 5 years of business & analysis experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing 5 analytical business projects from concept to implementation
  • Proven and demonstrated competency of Microsoft Excel
  • Associate’s degree

What Will Help You


  • Bachelor’s Degree desired (business, math, finance, or marketing preferred)
  • Experience with Oracle and Cognos preferred
  • Lean experience preferred

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time is critical to the success of this role
  • Outstanding organizational, communication (both verbal and written) and relationship skills conducive to collaboration
  • Solid knowledge/understanding of business processes
  • Excellent formal presentation skills before small and large groups
  • Able to execute high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks
