Home Health Aide PRN CorsoCare Personal Care In Homes Coverage Area Howell and Brighton MI Pay Scale 17 20 hr Position Summary As a Home Health Aide you will cover needs at different Private Homes for a shift several days or weeks depending on the needs of the clients You are responsible for providing caring and personalized assistance for clients living in their private homes This position will assist residents in all day to day functions Required Experience for Home Health Aide High School Diploma or GED preferredPrevious Healthcare Geriatrics or experience working with the elderly population preferredDesire to work with geriatric population essentialDrivers License and Proof of InsuranceTraining per state requirementsResponsibilities for Home Health Aide Provide care support to private homes within assigned geographical regionComfortable driving up to an hour 45 50 milesBathe and clean as needed both male and female residents by bed bath shower andor whirlpoolAssist in cleaning teeth shampooingcombing hair cleaning and cutting nails applying make up shaving and cleaning glasses of both male and female residentsAssist clients as needed in dressing appropriately encouraging usual and appropriate clothingMake clients beds and change linens as needed clean up room and closet picking up unnecessary articles and arranging room neatlyAssist clients requiring total or partial assistance with dining set up food for residents needing assistanceFollow medication administration protocols as identified for each individual clientAssist clients with bedpan urinal and bedside commode or to bathroom as needed andor as directed Check and change incontinent brief every two hours or more frequently if neededTake and give notice in writing vital signs temp pulse respiration & blood pressure heights and weights as requested report abnormal or unusual signs to Care Coordinator Report skin breakdown pressure sores and changes in clients physicalmental condition to Care Coordinator immediately and document accordinglyClean wheelchairs walkers commodes bedpans and urinals per scheduleAssist with light meal preparationAssist with light housekeepingAssist with pet careReport unusual color or odor of excretions urine drainage stool or sputum before discarding itAssist in the transport transfer ambulation frequent positioning provide ROM to clients and all other ADLs as assigned Use measures that ensure client and associate safetyProvide Transportation to appointments as requestedHelp maintain personal dignity of each client by ensuring privacy and treating them with respect Understand and follow Resident Bill of RightsProvide direct and participate in activity programming and activity based care for the clientsComplete daily charting during shift and according to instructions using only authorized abbreviationsIdentify client before providing careFollow universal precautions and isolation procedures for infection controlAccepts changesadditions to schedule during staffing difficulties when necessary Accepts assignment in time of emergency regardless of any location andor any day of the week be it weekendholidaysAdditional duties as assigned including assisting with dining and housekeeping General Working Conditions This position entails standing for long periods of time While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to communicate effectively with others sit stand walk and use hands and other equipment and objects The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read electronic device screens The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others The noise level in the work environment is moderate Travel to different locations required Equal Opportunity Employer CCSAIND
