Discover a career at Depot Connect International DCI a global leader in the TankISO Tank Container Services and Tank Trailer Parts industry Were more than just a service provider; were a unified team combining the expertise of industry leaders Quala Boasso Global and PSC Headquartered in Tampa Florida with over 160 locations worldwide our team of over 3500 employees excels in offering a multitude of mission critical services The Confined Space Entry Monitor II is responsible for confined space attendant duties fire prevention and fire protection at the assigned work site ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS MUST BE ABLE TO WEAR A RESPIRATORFocus on primary duty to monitor and protect the EntrantAbility to monitor two spaces that are accessible from the same platform between the twoPerform the duties of the external fire watch for Hotwork being performedRemain outside the permit space during entry operations unless relieved by another authorized AttendantKnow existing and potential hazards including information on the mode of exposure signs or symptoms consequences and physiological effects review SDS or waste profile as applicableMaintain communication with the Entrant s by verbal communication clearly communicated signals or radioPost the permit at or near the point of entry and keep an accurate account of those workers entering or exiting the permit spaceEnsure ventilation is in use and remains functional throughout the entryVerify that the entrant has completed and documented pre entry meter readingsVerify Entrant is wearing all required PPE identified on the permit including a harness connected to a Rescue Self Retracting Lifeline RSRL or mechanical rescue devicePerform non entry rescue using RSRL or mechanical rescue deviceSummon rescue and other services during an emergencyOrder evacuation of the permit space under certain circumstancesPrevent unauthorized people from entering permit spacesInform authorized entrants and the entry supervisor if any unauthorized person enters the permit space despite the attendants efforts to prevent entryShop helper and other safety duties as neededFoundational technician training as desiredSKILL REQUIREMENTS Attendant must be competent with operation of RSRL and mechanical rescue deviceWorking knowledge of safety proceduresAbility to complete multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency to meet the customer needsWork well within a team environment and take instructions from management and co workersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSafety Oriented with the ability to identify and eliminate hazards and unsafe work practicesMust be capable of performing the essential functions of the jobQUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED requiredMust be at least 18 years of ageSome Experience required Confined Space Attendant Fire Watch Bottle Watch Rope Rescue Technician Hole WatchWORK ENVIRONMENT The performance of this position will require exposure to shop areas which all require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses hearing protection steel toe shoes and other mandatory safety equipmentAmbient temperatures typical shop lighting and mechanical equipment are generally present throughout the shopWill be working at times in a covered or outside environmentDCI BENEFITS Medical Dental and Vision Insurance401k with generous employer matchPaid time off10 Paid holidaysFlexible spending accountOptional Health savings account & Flexible spending accountLife insuranceEmployee assistance programParental leaveReferral programTuition reimbursement
