Are you passionate about making a difference in others lives Then come join the Straight and Narrow team Headquartered in Paterson NJ Straight and Narrow is the largest program of its kind We provide innovative and compassionate services to individuals struggling with substance use and co occurring disorders We are looking for dedicated caring and compassionate people to work in our ResidentialOutpatient Treatment Facilities and Community Programs CookFood Service Per Diem Location Paterson NJ Regular Salary1600 1800 Hr Job Summary Operate various kitchen equipment as assigned and report any malfunctioning equipment to the Director of Food Services Prepare meals as per the menu instructions from the Director of Food Services Follow appropriate protocols as per the general food service rules at all times Monitor proper food temperature Ensure foodstock is rotated and stored properly Responsible for the cleanliness of the refrigerators stoves stock room Dinning Room etc Ensure floors are uncluttered clean and safe Ensure food serving areas are constantly clean Responsible for the serving of all meals on time Report any unsafe conditions in the kitchen immediately to the Director of Food Services Operate various kitchen equipments as assigned and report any malfunctioning equipment to the Director of Food Service Responsible for driving company vehicle to deliver meals within Straight and Narrow locations Qualifications Minimum of High School diplomaGED or One 1 year cooking experience Valid Drivers License Ability to coordinate kitchen functions Knowledge of food preparation and cooking methods on a large scale basis is required Must possess effective communication skills both verbal and written and a pleasing attitude Benefits For full time positions we offer medical vision dental life and supplemental life insurance Accidental and Critical Illness Insurance 403B with employer match Paid Time off PTO in house training seminars two training days for certified professionals SN also offers supervision for those individuals trying to become licensed in NJ as a LCADCCADC LSW LCSW LAC LPC and LMFT We participate in employee discount programs such as the Working Advantage program
