How you’ll make an impact

  • Works under direct supervision of a more senior staff member, to proactively manage the property/casualty claims programs for assigned clients, consults and provides advice to clients as appropriate.

  • Develops basic functional knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures for the claims practice.

  • Applies a range of standard skills within a specific practice area.

  • Works within specific limits and authority on assignments that are routine and of low to moderate complexity.

  • Works within specific limits and authority to manage claims.

  • Input new claims into “FileHandler” and WCAIS (Workers’ Compensation Automated Integrated System)

  • Completion of Bureau Documents in WCAIS

  • First Report of Injury

  • Subsequent Report of Injury

  • Wage Statement

  • TNCP (Temporary Notice of Compensation Payable)

  • Notice of Compensation Payable

  • Supplemental Agreement

  • Denial

  • Establish initial reserves on all cases.

  • Set up Recurring Payables.

  • Set up direct deposits for injured employees’ as required effective 10/29/25.

  • Investigation to make Compensability Determination on all cases.

  • Attach documents to individual claim.

  • Review of medical documentation to determine relatedness to injury.

  • Prepare Claim Summary on cases in excess of $25,000.

  • Evaluate cases for Utilization Review.

  • Complete UR requests.

  • Monitor and respond to WCAIS updates.

  • Document file notes with current activity.

  • Establish plan of Action on cases.

  • Comply with defense counsel requests for file documentation.

  • Assist in completion of Self-Insured Renewal Applications.

  • Evaluate cases for IME’s (Independent Medical Evaluations)

  • Participate in claim Reviews

  • Completion of spread sheets for renewing accounts.

  • Submission of LIBC-760’s and LIBC-756’s

  • Communicate with accounts, physicians, injured employees’, defense counsel

About You Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Internship or 1 Year of related experience preferred.

Behaviors:

  • Strong knowledge and working ability to use all claims and business related software.
