CRFP Post-Doctoral Research Fellow
Research Fellowship Post Doctoral Research Fellowships are available immediately with the US Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences ARI Post Doctoral Fellows who have graduated within the past five years will be considered for fellowships within ARIs multiple Research Units Location and Compensation Various locations Post doctoral fellows are expected to work 40 hours per week The annual salary for 2025 will depend on the worksite location of each candidate The amount is based on the 2025 Federal Government General Schedule for GS 12 Step 1 Post doctoral fellowships come with a generous benefits package that includes medical and dental insurance life insurance TIAA CREF retirement plan and accumulated paid sick and safe and vacation leave Research and Task Description ARI conducts applied research on team effectiveness ARI researchers post doctoral fellows and students develop and execute projects related to team effectiveness to include identification of predictors of team effectiveness improving understanding of the criterion space and examining contextual factors that impact team composition frameworks Research fellows assigned to the Basic Research Team will execute projects related to one of four strategic focus areas for advancing science 1 Science of Measurement of Individuals and Collectives; 2 Understanding Multilevel and Organizational Dynamics; 3 FormalInformal Learning and Development; and 4 Context of Behavior in Military Environments Projects will be both quantitative and qualitative in nature Specific Tasks Post doctoral fellows are expected to lead in the establishment and conduct of a research project in support of one of the programs focal areas listed above Post docs will lead all phases of research to include creation of data collection protocols data collection and analysis and report writing and publication Post doctoral fellows are expected to publish as lead or secondary author in scientific journals Post docs will be asked to support other research efforts within ARI to provide them with broadening opportunities in support of the broader goals of career development encouraged Writing skills are also highly valued in candidates Ideal Candidate Skills An ideal candidate will have strong capabilities in the areas of organizational science and modeling psychometrics andor advanced computationalstatistical methodology in addition to advanced knowledge of at least one of the identified Basic Research focal areas All candidates should have Experience and skills performing literature reviewsBasic understanding of qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniquesSome advanced data analytic capabilitiesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office programsStrong oralwritten communication skillsGood teamwork skillsAttention to detailAbility to learn and adapt quickly to federal government priorities and policiesWillingness to produce excellent work within ARIs programmatic and established guidelinesStrong work ethicPrior knowledge of the Army is not a requirement for candidates interested in a Fellowship Some travel will be required as part of the Fellowship Qualified candidates must be US citizens must complete a security background check and must obtain and maintain a Federal Government Common Access Card
