Description Position Purpose and Objectives This position helps oversee the day-to-day operations of all Credit Union of Texas facility and property operations with the on-going facility maintenance. Helps with event setups and moving of internal furniture and supplies.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be detailed oriented, self-motivated, think outside the box, organized, be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and must have an active and valid Driver’s License. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Major Duties And Essential Functions

  • Demonstrate enthusiastic support of Credit Union of Texas mission, core values and long-term objectives.
  • Helps maintain all branch facilities as well as the corporate office.
  • Perform repairs and upgrades as required.
  • Performs various tasks involving general building maintenance and some light construction/office remodeling, repairs doors and hardware, assists with small maintenance projects, moving of furniture/equipment, performs related maintenance and repair activities.
  • Performs various routine electrical tasks: troubleshoots electrical problems; installs electrical receptacles and switches; repairs electrical components; trips or replaces breaker; and replaces light bulbs and ballasts.
  • Performs various plumbing tasks; troubleshoots plumbing problems: installs and repairs plumbing fixtures; clears and unblocks water lines and drains; repairs toilets, sinks, faucets, etc. and repairs plumbing leaks.
  • Proactively look for new ways to improve our workflow, to empower our employees and create better work conditions.
  • Performs emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Assists with new and existing signage at corporate and all facilities.
  • Maintains the safety, security, and maintenance of all locations and performs periodic inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and to maintain high safety and security standards.
  • May serve on all or selected emergency facility call lists and available on 24-hour emergency alarm response teams.
  • Must be able to travel outside the metroplex.
  • Occasional overnights and weekends might be necessary depending on the events.
  • Assist as an additional property management contact for building facilities maintenance and security at the corporate office.
  • Provides updates on work orders and project status.

Other duties necessary to achieve the goals of the credit union: Good oral and written communication skills.

Facility and equipment maintenance experience and personnel security experience.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required For This Position: The employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Education: High School diploma or GED

Experience:

  • Knowledge of facility maintenance practices in a variety of different trades such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, carpentry, mechanical repair, etc.
  • Knowledge of the safe use of tools, machinery, equipment and supplies used in facility maintenance.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety requirements, and OSHA regulations as they apply to public facilities.
  • Skill in maintaining effective relationships with co-workers, employees, customers, vendors, and outside agencies.
  • Knowledge of the assigned functions and assigned departments necessary in the completion of daily responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of standard administrative practices.

Working Conditions of this Position DESCRIPTION Few. No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions except during construction wearing a hard hat is required.
