What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Review and analyze potential data loss alerts across various data handling avenues
• Identify risks related to unauthorized disclosure or misuse of sensitive information
• Perform initial triage of identified issues, including potential data loss or control gaps
• Support the implementation and maintenance of data loss prevention policies and standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data protection strategies and response playbooks

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information systems, risk management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Entry-level certifications (Security+, Network+, or similar)
• 0-2 years of experience in cybersecurity, GRC, privacy, compliance, or IT support roles
• Knowledge of information security fundamentals, including data confidentiality and protection
• Ability to triage and analyze alerts related to potential data loss or policy violations

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience in regulatory industries (e.g., insurance, healthcare, financial services)
• Knowledge of common cybersecurity threats, attack methods, and indicators of suspicious activity
• Familiarity with data classification and handling requirements for sensitive information
• Understanding of basic incident response fundamentals and escalation criteria
• Ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
