Senior Applied AI Engineer

WHY THIS ROLE:

Our rapidly growing client with F100 logos is seeking an AI Engineer to design and build production AI systems that power customer-facing product features. This role focuses on applied LLM workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt and evaluation frameworks, and AI system reliability — not academic model research.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Design and implement LLM-powered workflows
• Build and optimize RAG pipelines
• Develop embedding + retrieval systems
• Architect prompt and tool-use strategies
• Evaluate and improve output quality
• Implement guardrails and validation
• Select models and manage tradeoffs
• Partner with product and engineering teams
• Productionize AI services and APIs
• Monitor AI performance and reliability

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Production experience with LLM systems
• RAG architecture experience
• Embeddings + vector DB experience
• Prompt system design
• Python engineering strength
• API/service architecture
• AI evaluation methods

NICE TO HAVE:

• LangChain / LlamaIndex / similar
• Vector DBs (Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.)
• AI evaluation frameworks
• Enterprise data experience

Rather than inheriting brittle test frameworks, you’ll shape how correctness, evaluation, and reliability are defined and enforced as the system scales. The work directly supports enterprise users who rely on trusted, defensible insights — not best-effort answers.
