Pay: $35–40/hour (based on experience)
Shifts: 1st and 2nd shift available
Job Type: Long Term Contract to Perm
We’re looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our team and help build the future of space exploration. In this role, you’ll support our manufacturing team in assembling space hardware while also contributing to innovative solutions that advance our capabilities. You’ll gain hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing and metrology equipment, while also collaborating with our Design Engineering team to improve Design for Manufacturing/Assembly.
If you have 2+ years of experience assembling hardware in industries such as medical devices, automotive, electronics, or aerospace, this is your opportunity to directly support NASA, government agencies, and the commercial space sector.
What You’ll Do
- Process incoming flight hardware for assembly and inspection
- Perform precision cleaning, bagging/tagging, and first article or random sample inspections
- Assemble space hardware at both subcomponent and top levels
- Conduct manufacturing acceptance testing, including visual inspections, dimensional measurements, electrical checks, and leak testing
- Operate and maintain advanced equipment such as heat-treating furnaces, X-ray machines, induction brazing, electron beam welding, MIG/TIG and orbital welders, microscopes, 3D profilers, and CMMs
What We’re Looking For
- Knowledge of basic manufacturing tools (torque wrenches, crimping tools, multimeters, pressure gages, calipers)
- Familiarity with CAD programs and job routers
- Ability to work safely with high-voltage and high-energy machinery
- U.S. citizenship or national status required
