Serenity Hospice is seeking a Hospice Chaplain for our Salem team Looking for meaningful work with supportive leadership and great benefits At Serenity Hospice we help families through their toughest moments and we support our clinicians every step of the way We prioritize connection over quotas to build trust and truly focus on care Schedule Monday Friday 8am to 5pm What We offer Great culture and team atmosphereComprehensive benefits medical dental vision lifeAD&D disability effective pm the first of the month401k retirement plan with a generous company matchGenerous time off accrualsPaid holidaysMileage reimbursementTuition ReimbursementEmployee Referral Program Merit IncreasesEmployee Discount ProgramsWhat Youll Do Performs spiritual bereavement assessments of patients and familiescaregivers in the hospice program in a timely manner and ensure that identified needs are addressed in the patients plan of careProvides direct spiritual care and bereavement counseling to patients and familiescaregiversDemonstrates exceptional service to patients families referral sources co workers and other customers Assists team members as needed to ensure that this level of service is consistently providedProvides accurate and timely documentation of patient services to reflect the plan of careAttends group meetings to facilitate coordination of care and discussion of interdisciplinary group involvementProvides consultation education and support to the interdisciplinary group on spiritual care and bereavement counselingParticipates in Continuous Care and on call if necessaryAssists in supervision of spiritual care volunteers when assigned to patients familiescaregivers as neededAssumes responsibility in directing the development and implementation of the bereavement plan of care and the frequency of service delivery; make available bereavement services for up to one year following the death of the patientQualifications Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology andor a certificate of ordination or commission from a religious faith group; completion of Clinical Pastoral Education CPE preferredPrevious hospice experience working with death and dying strongly preferredComfortable in an interfaith setting and able to accept different lifestyles cultures beliefs and values Valid drivers license and proof of insurance is required
