The Construction Superintendent oversees and coordinates all daily on site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely on schedule and in accordance with approved plans specifications and industry standards This role supervises field staff and subcontractors maintains comprehensive project documentation and supports successful project delivery from contract award through final completion The Construction Superintendent works closely with the Project Manager and cross functional teams to resolve issues ensure quality control and uphold company standards Essential Functions Construction Oversight & Field Management Supervise and direct day to day field operations including subcontractors labor and vendorsReview interpret and redline project drawings to ensure accuracy and constructabilityMonitor progress to ensure adherence to project schedules plans specifications and quality standardsCoordinate site logistics deliveries material staging and contractor sequencingDocumentation Reporting & Issue Resolution Maintain detailed daily field reports including labor work performed progress updates site conditions and delaysIdentify and resolve issues related to subcontractors vendors suppliers materials and field conditionsPrepare and submit Requests for Information RFIs as needed to clarify project requirementsDocument redlines changes and field adjustments clearly and accuratelyInspections Compliance & Safety Interact with inspectors schedule inspections and obtain required approvals throughout the construction processEnforce strict compliance with safety guidelines OSHA regulations and company safety policiesConduct regular safety meetings site walks and hazard assessments to ensure a safe jobsiteCross Functional Coordination Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to support planning procurement budgeting and scheduling effortsCommunicate effectively with internal teams subcontractors design professionals and ownersParticipate in project meetings and contribute to problem solving discussions and schedule updatesOther Demonstrate the companys core values consistentlyComplete all additional tasks projects and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisorSkills and Experience Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or a related field preferredMinimum 7 years of residential construction experience with a strong preference for recent ground up or remodel project supervisionThorough understanding of residential construction methods schedule coordination inspections and field operationsAbility to read interpret and redline construction plans and specificationsStrong computer proficiency including experience with project management platforms scheduling tools and Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent leadership problem solving communication and organizational skillsAbility to work in outdoor environments and perform physical tasks such as walking climbing and lifting up to 35 pounds as requiredCompetencies Effectively supervises construction teams and subcontractors to maintain schedule and qualityUnderstands residential construction processes sequencing safety requirements and risk factorsAnticipates issues identifies practical solutions and escalates concerns when necessaryCommunicates clearly across teams inspectors vendors and project stakeholdersMaintains thorough documentation attention to detail and commitment to quality and safetyWhy This Opportunity is Exciting for You We offer a competitive compensation package including Paid Time Off PTOPaid Holidays401k with Employer MatchHealth Dental Life Insurance and Long Term Disability InsuranceAdditional Information FLSA Status Full Time Exempt Location Based in Cleveland OhioTravel up to 10 Reports To Direct Reports NADecision Making Authority The Construction Superintendent is authorized to direct daily field operations supervise subcontractors coordinate inspections and implement safety practices Major schedule changes budget impacts or design modifications require approval from the Project Manager or executive leadershipAbout Stark Enterprises Stark Enterprises is a full service real estate development company based in Cleveland Ohio with expertise in acquisition development leasing property management construction architectural design landscape architecture marketing and security We are committed to delivering high quality innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of our clients and communities As an Equal Opportunity Employer Stark Enterprises is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace We do not discriminate based on race religion color sex gender identity sexual orientation age disability national origin veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law Employment decisions are based on qualifications merit and business need Join us and be part of a forward thinking company that values both its employees and the communities it serves
