Job Title WMC Project & Student Travel Coordinator Location Fort Worth TX Job Type Full time Non exempt hourly Department World Missions Center Reports To Director of the World Missions Center Date 1292025 Last Revision Standard of Christian Commitment The candidate must be a professing Christ follower who possesses a strong commitment to the mission and core values of Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College possess a clear understanding of Southern Baptist heritage and culture and agrees to serve in accordance with and not contrary to the current edition of the Baptist Faith and Message Southwestern Seminary an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention is a confessional institution While the Seminary serves the larger evangelical Christian community employees must embrace the values and standards the Seminary represents as it fulfills its mission of shaping Christian leaders within our denominational context Since duties of this position require the employee to represent the Seminary to prospective and current students candidates must abide by the Seminary bylaws the Employee Handbook and the current edition of the Baptist Faith and Message as a condition of employment Job Description Job Summary The WMC Project Coordinator supports the World Missions Center by coordinating programs events mission trips and student travel initiatives This role manages scheduling logistics and daily administrative operations while serving as a primary liaison to students faculty staff and ministry partners The Coordinator also assists the WMC Director and trip leaders in planning and executing all ministry and student engagement efforts Key Responsibilities Plans implements and executes detailed operations for the World Mission Center WMC and Student Travel on Campus encompassing mission trips study tours and other excursionsAssists travel program directors in coordinating trips with other institutional offices including but not limited to Human Resources the Business Office Student Financial Services the Provosts office the Deans offices campus technology etcSchedules coordinates and manages communication for meetings and appointmentsArranges travel for speakers faculty and support staff including registration housing and ground transportation while liaising with travel agents handling visa requirements and arranging insuranceProvides oversight for the development of WMC missions programs and deploymentsAids mission trips Southwestern events and Student Travel leaders in logistics and adherence to Southwestern and mission partner policiesCoordinates with event speakers mission trip leaders or student trip leaders regarding budgeting logistics and other needsExecutes or delegate tasks necessary for event planning including budgeting and schedulingPrepares and submits WMC reports to the Provosts Office throughout the academic yearCollaborates on risk assessment for all trips including insurance waivers and power of attorney ensuring compliance with policiesDemonstrates commitment to personal and professional growth in leadership and ministry effectivenessHandles sensitive and confidential information with discretionPerforms other related duties as assigned and specific to area of responsibility Specific Skills and Qualifications Current enrollment as a student at SWBTS or TBC is preferredExperience in higher education processes and support strategies preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectivelyStrong work ethic and initiative; ability to operate with minimal supervisionExemplary social skills with an ability to be a part of and contribute to a collaborative team and demonstrate love and appreciation for cross cultural interactionExcellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly and simply articulate the value propositions of SWBTSProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required;
