and efficiency to create a sustainably healthy and robust business for the long term The Manager Infrastructure & Database Operation is responsible for leading a team of infrastructure and database professionals in a fully virtualized Azure native environment This role ensures the availability performance scalability and security of the companys cloud hosted infrastructure and SQLMongoDB platforms The ideal candidate is a hands on leader with deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud networking IaaSPaaS infrastructure and database operations and will drive modernization and operational excellence across our development staging and production environments What Youll Be Doing Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead coach and mentor a high performing team of infrastructure and database engineersOversee task prioritization execution and team accountability aligned to business prioritiesPromote a culture of operational rigor continuous improvement and documentationInfrastructure & Cloud OperationsManage and optimize virtual server infrastructure and network architecture in AzureOversee cloud resource provisioning capacity planning right sizing and cost optimizationEnsure compliance with security and data protection standards including PCI DSS ISO 27001 and internal policiesDatabase Platform ManagementEnsure high availability performance and scalability of SQL Server and MongoDB platformsPartner with application and development teams to optimize data flows and database performanceOversee patching backups monitoring and incident management for database systemsOperational ExcellenceMaintain infrastructure and database health through proactive monitoring logging and automationOwn infrastructure related components of business continuity and disaster recovery plansDrive root cause analysis and post mortems for service disruptions and database incidentsCollaboration & StrategyCollaborate with security architecture development and DevOps teams to support infrastructure modernization initiativesRecommend and implement infrastructure and data platform improvements aligned to business and technology goalsThe Ideal Candidate Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field or equivalent experienceExperience 8 years in IT InfrastructureOperations roles with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity4 years managing environments hosted in Azure IaaSPaaSProven experience managing IT infrastructure in a large scale enterprise environment eg 1000 servers including high availability systems disaster recovery planning and performance tuningStrong expertise inAzure VM networking storage and identity managementMicrosoft SQL Server on VM and MongoDB operationsInfrastructure as Code eg ARM templates Bicep or TerraformMonitoring & observability tools eg Azure Monitor Log Analytics DatadogExperience with ITSM practices and tools eg ServiceNowFamiliarity with compliance frameworks PCI SOC2 Type 2Strong project management communication and vendor management skillsExcellent organization time management and follow up this full time position in Irvine CA is 144700 180900 per year This base pay will take into consideration internal equity candidates geographic region job related knowledge and experience among other
