Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Location: Chicago, IL

Salary: $52,000 (once permanent)

Type: Full-Time

Main Tasks And Responsibilities You will be responsible for providing technical support and resolving IT-related issues across multiple sites. Here’s a non-exhaustive list of tasks:

  • Receive and manage Help Desk incidents through JSM, in-person, phone, email, and chat, logging all issues in the ticketing system.
  • Work to resolve incidents and fulfill requests, collaborating with other Information Systems teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure continuous Help Desk phone coverage during business hours.
  • Meet service level agreements (SLAs) and notify the Systems Help Desk Supervisor of any challenges in meeting these targets.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and standards for Help Desk incident management and request fulfillment.
  • Utilize online Confluence resources and JSM ticketing systems to find solutions and update documentation.
  • Provide support for IS teams, including Applications, EHR, and Network teams, to gain hands-on experience.
  • Support additional activities as requested by IS managers.

Required Qualifications And Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an Information Systems Help Desk environment.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedules, including occasional Saturdays, to meet SLAs.
  • Ability to support multiple sites within the assigned region.
  • Proficiency in IT technologies, including:
  • Windows Operating Systems
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email, Active Directory)
