About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior React Developer with leadership experience to help guide a small engineering team. You’ll mentor developers, and continue to be hands-on with code; building intuitive, performant user interfaces that make a real impact for our customers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coaching others, driving technical decisions, and leading by example.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and mentor a small team of 3–5 developers
  • Set technical direction and establish best practices for the front-end codebase
  • Build and maintain responsive web applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern front-end tooling
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive, growth-oriented feedback
  • Collaborate with product and design to scope features and plan sprints
  • Balance hands-on development with team support and unblocking

What We’re Looking For

**Technical Skills** – 6 years of professional experience with React and modern JavaScript (ES6 )

  • 1–2 years of experience leading or mentoring a small engineering team
  • Solid understanding of React hooks, state management (Redux, Context API, or similar), and component lifecycle
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library)
  • Expert level version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows
  • Bonus: Experience with TypeScript, Next.js, or GraphQL

*Nice to Have* – Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Comfort collaborating in Figma with design teams

  • Proven ability to mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers
  • Clear and thoughtful communicator; you can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable making decisions and owning outcomes
  • Skilled at giving feedback that’s direct, kind, and actionable
  • Calm under pressure; you can prioritize and keep the team focused through the noise
  • Reliable and accountable; you follow through on commitments and hold others to the same standard
  • Comfortable meeting with clients / stakeholders
