Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Operations Data Analyst to support a large utility/energy sector organization. This role involves leading complex data analysis initiatives that drive operational efficiency and business decision-making. The ideal candidate can work independently, manage time-sensitive deliverables, and partner effectively with stakeholders across all levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex data analysis projects from intake through final presentation with minimal supervision
• Design and execute data analyses aligned with business objectives
• Analyze large datasets and deliver clear, concise, and actionable insights
• Create ad hoc reports, trend analyses, and performance metrics
• Manage complex data extracts and ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Develop and maintain automated reporting and data delivery processes
• Perform data cleansing, validation, and manipulation
• Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders
• Recommend enhancements to data sources, databases, and analytical processes

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of related data or operations analysis experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex formulas, automation, reporting)
• Experience working with SAP and Salesforce
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience supporting utility or energy sector operations
• Advanced SQL skills (Oracle or Business Objects)
• Experience with UNIX shell scripting (csh, awk, sed, vi)
• Knowledge of Base SAS
• Programming experience (Visual Basic, Perl, or C)
• Project management experience
