Associate, Software Engineering: Java
Location: Chicago, IL
Salary: $75,000.00 USD Annually – $100,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Associate, Software Engineering: Java
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Write clean, maintainable Java code and assist with debugging and testing.
- Participate in small components of larger projects.
- Support performance analysis and basic troubleshooting.
- Learn and follow engineering standards and Git workflows.
- Assist in executing security scanning and documentation.
- Support CI/CD processes and gain exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
- Assist in creating or updating Splunk dashboards.
Qualifications (Required)
- Academic or internship experience with Java development.
- Basic understanding of distributed systems concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud fundamentals.
- Exposure to unit testing frameworks.
- Exposure to relational or NoSQL databases.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Eagerness to learn DevOps tools.
Education
- [Required] BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field required
- [Preferred] MS in Computer Science
Certifications:
- [Preferred] OCP Java SE 17 Programmer Certification
