Project Specialist

Location: Hybrid — Arden Hills, MN

Pay Rate: Up to $55 an hour or about $118,000 a year

Schedule: 8:00 AM — 4:30 PM

Onsite Requirement: 3 days per week

Role Overview

The Project Specialist is a temporary Human Resources role supporting the Growth Mindset Project, a multi-year cultural transformation initiative focused on embedding growth mindset principles into leadership behaviors, employee habits, systems, and organizational processes.

Working under the direction of a Boston Scientific Project Manager, this role will coordinate cross-functional workstreams, support alignment with the NeuroLeadership Institute partnership, ensure integration with HR systems and processes, and help drive the activation, scaling, and reinforcement phases outlined in the Growth Mindset program roadmap.

The Project Specialist will play a key role in organizing governance forums, supporting stakeholders, and maintaining project momentum as Boston Scientific works to shift mindsets, accelerate innovation, strengthen cultural alignment, and embed growth mindset into its operating culture.

Job Purpose

Responsible for implementing and supporting project management processes across assigned initiatives. The Project Specialist will establish and maintain project performance metrics, promote adoption and continuous improvement of standard project management practices, and support project planning and execution. This role is involved in portfolio and project status reporting and supports the implementation and use of project management and collaboration technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze current systems and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Manage one to two process improvement or integration projects
  • Own project deliverables, including project plans, status reports, and requirements documentation
  • Collaborate with multiple internal departments on a broad range of project management and analytical initiatives
  • Support project planning sessions and post-project reviews, providing guidance to project managers and teams to drive high performance
  • Consolidate and refine project status updates into program-level and senior leadership reports
  • Drive process and requirement definition to support the selection and effective use of project management technologies
  • Support project teams in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other selected collaboration tools

Quality Systems Responsibilities

  • Build quality into all aspects of work by ensuring compliance with applicable quality system requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience or
  • Master’s degree (MBA preferred) with 1–3 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of project coordination experience
  • PMP certification not required, but a plus
