About The Role The Senior Data Analyst position at Guidehouse is a critical role supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). This role involves working closely with the Chief of Staff for a major Program Executive Office (PEO) to provide advanced business analytics, primarily focused on financial data analysis and visualization. The successful candidate will assist in monitoring financial risks and opportunities by analyzing budget and spend plans in support of the Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) process. Beyond financial analysis, this role requires a versatile data professional capable of supporting data management improvements, digital process automation, and analyzing non-financial data sets related to program capabilities or operational metrics. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively, translating complex business challenges into actionable data solutions that inform leadership decision-making.

Qualifications To qualify for this role, candidates must hold an active and maintained Top Secret with SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance, including a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph. A bachelor’s degree is required, along with a minimum of five (5) years supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community clients, with at least two (2) years specifically in data analytics and visualization. Candidates should demonstrate experience supporting financial and budget processes, particularly within the context of government or military operations. Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior government officials and stakeholders is essential. Familiarity with data visualization tools, programming languages such as Python and SQL, and understanding of data pipelines will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Chief of Staff and PEO leadership by developing and maintaining financial models, dashboards, and visualizations to monitor budget execution, spend plans, and financial risks.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in the automation of data collection, processing, and reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data management initiatives and enhance data quality and integrity.
  • Develop ad hoc analytical reports and presentations tailored for executive audiences, ensuring clarity and relevance.
  • Support efforts to improve business processes through digital transformation and automation strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with security protocols and handle sensitive data responsibly.
  • Participate in meetings with senior officials, providing expert advice on data-driven solutions and insights.
