Must have:

We require a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field. You should have at least 10 years of diversified IT experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position. A solid understanding of software development design, Agile methodologies, Object-Oriented Programming, and Design Patterns is essential. You should also be proficient in procedural and functional programming and have excellent knowledge of programming languages such as C , C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, Blazor, ReactJS, or Angular. A strong grasp of database management systems, such as TSQL or PL/SQL, is necessary, along with experience in development platforms like Azure, Salesforce, Docker, or Kubernetes. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of software reliability best practices, automated testing, and experience in building service-oriented architectures and APIs. Background in the Oil & Gas industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities:


As the Software Engineering Manager, you will lead and manage a talented team of software engineers, focusing on both front-end and back-end development. Your primary duties will entail establishing a top-tier software engineering team that employs agile methodologies to produce high-quality results. You will be responsible for creating a technology stack that supports efficient software development processes and will drive your team to effectively tackle complex challenges. You will set the engineering roadmap to align with overarching organizational objectives and oversee the hiring, retention, and growth of your software engineering team. Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels, you will provide concise updates on software delivery, risks, and achievements. Additionally, you will manage daily operations, mentor team members, and cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. You will lead low- to medium-complexity IT projects, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards while ensuring the security and reliability of our technology systems. Collaborating with internal groups, you will identify needs and contribute to the business’s goals, maintaining visibility and support for operations across our organization.
