Requirements


Must have:

– A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing Vehicle Management System (VMS) software and/or associated real-time systems. – At least 3 years of expertise with C/C++ programming, or experience with Java/Python scripting. – A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science is preferred. – Knowledge of real-time embedded system architectures and designs. – Familiarity with common programming languages utilized in real-time systems. – Understanding of real-time target environments and software domain.

Responsibilities:


  • I will develop architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for real-time embedded software systems that support a variety of VMS platforms. – I will integrate software components into a fully operational software system to achieve various mission objectives and meet customer needs. – I will create software verification plans, testing procedures, and test environments. – I will perform tests at multiple levels to verify the performance of VMS software. – I will implement state-of-the-art software development practices, processes, and tools to build a world-class production system for VMS software and related products. – I will integrate supplier-provided software and systems with Boeing-developed components to create comprehensive VMS systems.

We are currently looking for an Experienced Software Engineer to join our Vehicle Management Systems team in Hazelwood, MO, focused on supporting our Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business unit. We seek a highly motivated engineer to assist in the development, integration, and testing of a real-time embedded Vehicle Management System (VMS) software that will support flight-critical guidance and control for various Boeing fixed-wing, weapons, and proprietary programs. The work will take place at our Boeing St. Louis campus, collaborating with different teams. Occasional domestic travel is expected, accounting for less than 5% of the time. We offer a competitive Total Rewards package, including base pay, variable compensation opportunities, and various benefits such as health insurance, retirement savings plans, and life and disability insurance. Salary is determined by experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations, with a summary pay range of $107,100 – $144,900. This position requires meeting export control compliance guidelines; hence a “U.S. Person” is needed as defined by U.S. export regulations.
