Full stack developer (JavaScript, Python)
Requirements
Must have:
– Bachelors degree in computer science or a related quantitative discipline – 5 years of experience in software engineering with a proactive mindset – Strong programming expertise in languages such as Python and Golang – Familiarity with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices – Experience using GitHub Workflows and Actions – Sound knowledge of Linux operating systems – Equivalent combinations of relevant education, training, and experience may be evaluated in lieu of the stated qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Operate effectively in a dynamic setting with evolving priorities to fulfill customer needs – Collaborate with engineers on the productization of models and agents, including design, coding, testing, implementation, and deployment – Assist in CI/CD testing and manage the DevOps lifecycle for models and agents across the division – Design and integrate RESTful APIs for Independent Model Packages – Work with fellow developers to devise efficient solutions – Follow agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and seeking opportunities for ongoing learning – Take responsibility for the complete code lifecycle, providing support for both internal and external users – Ensure product quality through functional, unit, and performance testing, offering feedback for enhancing testing coverage in the CI/CD pipeline – Create high-quality, testable, and scalable software solutions within set timelines, applying R&D best practices and procedures – Participate in open-source projects on behalf of SAS as encouraged – Adhere to all security policies and processes to promote the organizations secure software development objectives – Embody values such as curiosity, passion, authenticity, and accountability in all aspects of work
