Senior Product Manager – State Solutions
Requirements
Must have:
– Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field – Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field preferred – Over 7 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, or over 5 years with a Masters degree – Supervisory experience is essential – At least 2 years of experience in a Product Manager role or a similar position – Exceptional problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills with a proven ability to make data-driven decisions – Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills relevant to the product and industry, indicative of a successful career progression – In-depth knowledge of auto industry products and services, along with best practices applicable in a strategic role – Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with management and both internal and external customers – Ability to exercise independent judgment for moderately complex decisions outside established company guidelines
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facets of the assigned product by coordinating with relevant departments such as Claims, Underwriting, Sales/Marketing, Customer Service, and external stakeholders – Create action plans and strategic directions for various functional areas while ensuring alignment for successful product line development – Ensure the success of assigned products in specific states based on market regulations and population dynamics – Manage product lines that include Auto and Property insurance – Recruit, oversee, and mentor various levels of Product Managers and Analysts – Lead nationwide initiatives involving the Product Management team and other departments – Act as a representative of the Product Management division on cross-functional projects – Foster the growth and development of talent within the Product Management department – Undertake additional responsibilities as needed
