Patient Service Rep

Requirements

Must have:

– High School Diploma or GED is mandatory – Proficient in keyboard and computer operations – A valid drivers license is necessary for any off-site duties – Minimum of three months of experience in a business office or healthcare setting – Prior knowledge in insurance, managed care, and integrative medicine is preferred – Familiarity with medical terminology or coding is advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Provide front desk coverage under general supervision following established guidelines – Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments – Welcome patients and register new patients in our EPIC system – Arrange laboratory and off-site diagnostic tests as directed by physicians – Verify insurance eligibility and explain covered benefits – Process patient charges by calculating fees, applying insurance coverage, and recording payments in our computer system – Assist with clinic set-up and provide additional office support as needed
