Requirements

Must have:

– High school diploma or equivalency certificate – Over 5 years of experience in network security; OR more than 8 years in professional IT networking – At least 3 years of hands-on experience with network firewalls – Strong understanding of network security technologies, including: – Firewalls (Palo Alto and Juniper) – Network IDS/IPS solutions – Switch/Router ACLs – Network Access Control solutions – IPSec and TLS-based VPNs – Familiarity with networking protocols and the OSI model – Experience in testing and implementing changes in production environments – Quick learner with new technologies and systems – Excellent self-management and organizational skills – Strong written and verbal communication abilities – Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as required – Ability to pass an Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral – Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for ITAR compliance

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy network security tools – Offer expert advice on network security, firewalls, and best practices in the industry – Oversee firewall configurations within SpaceXs enterprise network as per operational needs – Analyze security challenges and develop innovative network solutions – Maintain network security systems through regular updates and necessary maintenance tasks – Collaborate with other teams within SpaceX to identify functional requirements and convey security policies – Construct threat models and evaluate risks for new architectures
