DTP-N system engineer
Requirements
Must have:
– U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements – Bachelors Degree in engineering (acceptable majors include Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering) – Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience – Must hold and maintain a Secret security clearance, with eligibility for Top-Secret/SCI level clearance – Experience in Integration, Software Engineering, Program Technical Services, Design, Fabrication, Integration Services, or Aircraft Modification and Training Services as needed – Familiarity with DTP-N and F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft platforms is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Support requirements analysis, acquisition, testing, and Fleet support for DTP-N and related CNI/AVMS initiatives – Conduct system integration activities throughout the F18 block upgrades life cycle – Interact independently with all levels of the F18 Integrated Product Team and external organizations, addressing Weapons integration, project planning, scheduling, documentation preparation, engineering evaluations, and integration strategies – Attend and actively participate in key system milestone and technical interchange meetings – Identify and adhere to processes for developing documentation for system milestones and tests, ensuring alignment with F18 IPT standards – Lead and take part in the review process for system level documents such as requirements, specifications, and interface documents – Provide engineering analyses, recommendations, and solutions for complex issues during the design and correction phases – Ensure that all necessary documentation is prepared for testing in compliance with current standards and procedures – Respond to queries from fleet operators and support personnel, offering technical advice and guidance to management, peers, and stakeholders on specific F18 Weapons Systems aspects – Utilize necessary management software, including Asset Management, Planning and Scheduling Solution (AMPSS), Operational Flight Program Project Status (OPS), and Open System Engineering Environment (OSEE)
