Requirements


Must have:

– Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field – Proven experience in project management within automotive systems – Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and chassis design principles – Familiarity with Key Process Indicators (KPIs) in automotive development – Excellent communication and collaboration skills – Ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively – Competency in change management processes including Electronic Bill of Material (EBOM) design – Experience in budget management for R&D projects – Proficiency in problem-solving and troubleshooting methodologies – Ability to meet stringent timelines and quality standards

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the development and delivery of the chassis vehicle system to meet design specifications – Ensure documentation for sourcing start-up is complete and accurately maintained – Develop and execute Milestone Reviews and ensure KPIs are achieved – Meet program targets related to quality, material costs, and timing – Manage the tooling release process with suppliers for on-time delivery – Support build activities and lead problem-solving efforts – Address supplier troubleshooting issues related to design or manufacturing dimensions – Implement issue resolution protocols through corporate systems – Facilitate the change management process with engineering teams – Ensure compliance and certification of vehicle subsystems – Monitor and maintain the R&D budget to ensure adherence – Collaborate with engineering and non-engineering teams for project success – Evaluate and plan for pilot vehicle test execution – Estimate labor hours for engineers required for component development – Verify dimensional stability and fit/finish during pilot builds
