Transmission and Driveline Application Engineer
Requirements
Must have:
– Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field – Strong experience in cross-functional team management – Expertise in vehicle application development and interface requirements – Proficiency in change management and technical specifications – Excellent communication skills to convey complex requirements – Familiarity with quality initiatives and assessment processes – Ability to coordinate approvals and manage project timelines
Responsibilities:
- Manage CQI and GIMS cross-functional task force teams and prioritize action plans – Act as the first responder to Component Quality Analysis Teams Emerging Issue alerts – Collaborate with DSE, MFG, and DRE to formulate next steps and document plans – Update and track progress in GIMS and associated databases – Lead the development of the Applications Matrix, ensuring interface requirements are met – Coordinate packaging studies to comply with clearance requirements – Direct advanced vehicle adaptation design studies and freezes – Oversee approvals for International Product Specs and owners manuals – Communicate application-specific requirements to the team – Ensure adherence to vehicle-level and system-level functional objectives – Manage external design changes and ensure platform approval – Review and approve the Application Checklist for each CN
