Requirements


Must have:

– Proven experience in product design and engineering of complex components – Prior experience with electro-mechanical and servo-hydraulic systems analysis – Proficiency in providing technical oversight and managing supplier relationships – Knowledge of DFMEA and DVP&R methodologies – Ability to interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards – Strong leadership and organizational skills – Excellent communication abilities to navigate stakeholder interactions – Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment – Familiarity with computer-aided design software (NX/CATIA) – Willingness to travel to supplier and corporate locations in various regions

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the design and delivery of Beam Axle components to meet technical specifications – Manage supplier engineering activities and deliverables effectively – Create engineering work plans aligned with project timelines – Conduct advanced analysis and simulations for actuation mechanisms – Ensure compliance with product development processes and documentation – Develop technical specifications for driveline and axle components – Complete necessary documentation to facilitate supplier quotations – Review designs against best practice standards and conduct supplier assessments – Capture lessons learned and align analysis with test requirements – Create Design Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (DFMEAs) – Develop and implement DVP&R plans to validate new designs – Craft tools, procedures, and criteria for component testing – Collaborate on design details and computer-aided engineering initiatives – Define transfer functions and document analyses for actuation components – Produce engineering documentation to support change management – Provide physical components and hardware for pilot builds – Partner with subject matter experts to resolve engineering challenges – Prepare updates and reports for management – Assist in addressing production-related issues in manufacturing – Innovate cost reduction ideas and execute validation plans – Engage in warranty discussions and develop corrective actions – Execute root cause analysis for product failures – Conduct audits at supplier facilities for compliance
