Controls Validation Engineer – Testing & Interoperability
Requirements
Must have:
– Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field – Proven experience in controls validation within electrified powertrain systems – Strong understanding of propulsion control software and high-voltage charging systems – Ability to conduct vehicle and bench testing effectively – Experience in developing Design Verification Plans (DVPs) – Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail – Familiarity with issue pre-analysis and critical edge-case maneuvers
Responsibilities:
- Validate propulsion control software to ensure reliable performance of powertrain systems – Develop Design Verification Plans (DVPs) that meet functional requirements for propulsion systems – Conduct thorough vehicle and bench testing to evaluate system effectiveness – Identify suitable testing environments for various powertrain scenarios – Analyze issues prior to extensive testing to streamline the validation process – Pinpoint critical edge-case maneuvers to assess and ensure robust system performance
