Requirements


Must have:

– Comprehensive understanding of cloud security principles, including network security, data protection, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and threat modeling – Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams (Platform Engineering, Application Development, IT, Compliance) to weave security practices into cloud deployments and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) – Proficient in scripting and configuration languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform) for automation and security orchestration – In-depth knowledge of Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud native services, including best practices, architectural patterns, and potential vulnerabilities – Demonstrated capability to serve as a cloud security authority, advising and influencing technical teams on secure cloud practices and architectural choices – Professional experience in integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and a solid grasp of DevSecOps principles and tools – Specialized expertise in securing container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS) – Familiarity with securing serverless functions (e.g., AWS Lambda) and/or edge computing implementations

Responsibilities:


  • Formulate and implement the overarching cloud security strategy, architecture, and technical framework, including establishing standards, guidelines, procedures, and requirements – Act as a security subject matter expert for cloud-related projects and infrastructure – Define and sustain the enterprise security roadmap for cloud settings – Design and architect secure cloud solutions, considering aspects such as network security, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, data protection, and additional security domains – Create reusable secure design patterns for prevalent cloud use cases to ensure engineering tasks can advance efficiently and securely – Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness of the overall cloud security initiative – Guide and mentor security engineers, providing them with technical direction – Promote and enforce security best practices throughout various teams
