Financial Operations Associate
The client is a well-established DG developer with 400MW of operating assets and backed by a global infrastructure fund with nearly $20B in AUM.
They’re looking for an Associate, Financial Operations to manage the financial backbone of the growing project portfolio, supporting project-level financings, strengthening data integrity, process consistency, and financial visibility across core systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the closing process for construction loans and project-level financing, working closely with banks, legal teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Help build and manage a transparent, structured loan draw process, including internal review, approvals, and fund release tracking. Assist with fund-level capital call tracking, disbursements, and reporting to limited partners and lenders.
- Centralize documentation and maintain dashboards related to loan compliance, covenant tracking, and financial deliverables—ensuring accuracy, timeliness and traceability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal and Project Management teams to coordinate construction drawing processes, ensuring funds are requested and deployed accurately and on time.
- Prepare internal summaries and analysis of capital activity across 40+ funds and 125+ projects, highlighting trends, exceptions, and improvement opportunities. Help shape standardized formats and visual frameworks as the team continues to evolve BI reporting tools.
- Help manage and refine internal systems for capital movements, project milestones, and lender communication.
- Communicate operational insights clearly, translating technical or financial data into concise updates for multiple stakeholders.
- Contribute to ongoing system and process improvements, helping to evolve the firm’s internal platforms into a unified source of truth.
- Build strong working relationships with finance, legal, and development teams.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in financial operations, project finance support, or data/process-oriented roles within banking, renewables or infrastructure.
- Exposure to construction loans, fund operations, or infrastructure transactions is a major plus.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to manage high volumes of detail without losing sight of the big picture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with external banks and internal teams.
- Proficient in Excel and general financial systems (Microsoft ecosystem highly preferred); comfortable working with structured data across systems; experience with project management or capital tracking tools is a plus.

This role is 4 days/week in the NYC office
