Software Engineer (Contingent Resource) – Charlotte, NC

About the Role

As a contingent Software Engineer, you will support moderately complex engineering initiatives and contribute to the delivery of high-quality technical solutions. You’ll partner with engineering teams to analyze challenges, evaluate options, and drive execution aligned with organizational standards, policies, and compliance requirements. This role involves cross-functional collaboration and offers the opportunity to support planning activities for larger engineering efforts.

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of moderately complex software engineering solutions.
  • Participate in planning activities related to software engineering projects and deliverables.
  • Analyze engineering challenges, evaluate technical factors, and recommend solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues by applying strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
  • Apply established engineering practices, compliance policies, and operational procedures throughout the development lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent experience gained through professional work, consulting, training, military service, or education.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Java / J2EE
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Knowledge of APIGEE for API management
  • Experience with data analytics tools or frameworks
