Principal Technical Product Manager
Requirements
Must have:
– Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred. – Over 8 years of experience in product management, demonstrating a successful track record from conception to launch. – Proficient in Agile, Lean, and Scrum methodologies, with strong experience using tools like JIRA and Confluence. – Ability to collaborate closely with UX design and software engineering teams, possessing strong technical understanding and trade-off evaluation skills. – Strong analytical and numerical skills, capable of utilizing data for informed decision-making and product prioritization. – Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex concepts to both technical and lay audiences. – Proven leadership capabilities to influence and guide cross-functional teams without direct authority. – Deep understanding of customer needs and a passion for developing products that create outstanding customer experiences. – Knowledge of aerospace software development processes is advantageous. – Familiarity with manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain systems is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a multi-year product vision that aligns with company objectives and secures executive involvement to achieve our production and launch aspirations. – Develop and oversee a 12–18-month roadmap across various technology areas, ensuring alignment of resources, timelines, and mitigation strategies while addressing cross-business conflicts. – Direct key decisions in collaboration with leaders and top executives, ensuring alignment of resources to achieve set goals. – Utilize iterative prototyping, testing, and scaling to deliver simple yet impactful solutions to intricate challenges, backed by extensive customer feedback and data. – Set technical direction and evaluate potential technologies for long-lasting business impact. – Establish and implement measures and frameworks to guide investments and assess product launch success, presenting insights clearly to leadership. – Manage strategic risk and readiness activities to facilitate smooth multi-organizational rollouts and measurable outcomes. – Introduce new tools and methods, such as AI and advanced analytics, to enhance productivity and institutionalize best practices. – Create compelling narratives and reviews that influence critical decisions and keep executives updated on progress and associated risks.
