Senior Cyber Software Security Engineer – Littleton

Requirements

Must have:

– Proficient in DevOps/DevSecOps, Software Factory, and Agile methodologies – Experience in a leadership role within a small software team (4-6 members) – Willingness to develop cybersecurity capabilities (training will be provided) – Ability to collaborate with software development leadership to integrate effective cybersecurity practices into coding routines – Experience in reducing software vulnerabilities through daily collaboration with development teams – Participation in cyber risk evaluations and Cyber Table Top (CTT) reviews – Conduct thorough cybersecurity assessments of software designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and regulations Desired Skills: – Strong collaborative mindset focused on achieving mutually beneficial solutions – Proven customer-centric approach enhancing internal and external client relationships – Familiarity with automated build pipelines and Agile workflows – Background in software development related to DoD embedded systems – Knowledge in Software Engineering, including Object Oriented Design and C++ – Enthusiasm for mentoring others and being mentored – Skills in vulnerability assessment and analysis – Understanding of Open Source Intelligence and related methodologies – Proficiency in technical writing and presentation delivery – Basic knowledge of networking principles – Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) – Experience with Penetration Testing and Red Team operations

Responsibilities:

• Support the software cyber lead in various technical initiatives – Act as the technical lead and team coordinator for a small-scale software cyber group – Engage in ongoing development of cybersecurity skills through provided training – Partner with software development leaders to embed cybersecurity best practices into daily operations – Work closely with software teams to identify, minimize, and prevent software vulnerabilities – Take part in conducting cyber risk assessments and facilitate Cyber Table Top (CTT) reviews – Evaluate software designs for compliance with cybersecurity specifications and guidelines
