Requirements

Must have:

– Extensive experience in COBOL programming – Proficiency with IDMS and JCL for IBM mainframe operating systems – Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) – Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex application issues – Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders – Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software applications utilizing COBOL, IDMS, and JCL – Collaborate with team members to define project requirements and specifications – Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure functionality – Document coding processes and system changes for future reference – Provide technical support and training to users when necessary – Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in software development
