Requirements

Must have:

– Over 5 years of engineering experience, with 3+ years focusing on infrastructure development to support tooling for developers. – Empathetic understanding of the tools and processes that hinder engineering teams, leading to burnout and inefficiency. – Strong desire for continuous learning and the ability to share knowledge clearly with colleagues. – Adaptability to ambiguous and rapidly evolving environments, viewing changes as chances to introduce structure.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and execution of systems, tools, and processes to enhance engineering efficiency, minimize manual tasks, and elevate output quality. – Leverage our advanced AI technologies to innovate and boost team productivity. – Collaborate with diverse teams within OpenAI to grasp their workflows, challenges, and needs, ensuring our solutions meet these demands. – Partner with product engineers to introduce new features and research capabilities by establishing essential technical foundations. – Provide guidance to product engineering teams on best practices for creating observant and scalable systems. – Participate in our on-call rotation, ensuring the reliability of the systems we develop and responding to urgent incidents as required.
