Procurement Project Manager
Akkodis is seeking a Procurement Project Manager for a Contract role with a client in Los Angeles, CA . The ideal candidate will support the Strategic Procurement team by driving key initiatives, managing supplier engagements, and leading multiple end?to?end supply chain projects.
Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Procurement Project Manager job responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage multiple procurement and supply chain projects simultaneously, including supplier risk mitigation and resilience initiatives.
- Analyze supplier quotes, bids, RFQs, and RFPs to recommend best total?cost solutions.
- Source and evaluate mechanical and electrical suppliers for medical device components.
- Lead vendor negotiations, pricing discussions, and onboarding processes.
- Manage procurement requests, purchase orders, and all vendor communications.
- Track and report procurement project milestones, timelines, KPIs, and cost?saving metrics.
- Support tariff?mitigation strategies and identify opportunities for second sourcing.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure supplier compliance with medical?device industry standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation of sourcing decisions, contracts, and supplier performance.
- Drive risk analysis efforts and develop mitigation strategies across cross?functional teams.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance/Operations Management, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4 years of experience in engineering, procurement, supply chain, finance, or technical project management-preferably in medical device or other highly regulated industries.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal communication, presentation skills, and ability to work cross?functionally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing or supply chain.
- Prior procurement and/or data analyst experience.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
