We are seeking an Anaplan Product Owner to lead the design and delivery of Anaplan solutions supporting people focused operational organization, transitioning from manual-based reporting of record to scalable, structured planning models. This role will work closely with an Anaplan integration team and a People Technology team.

The Product Owner will serve as a functional and technical translator, creating workflows, Anaplan’s modeling capabilities, and a Workday-oriented People Technology organization. This role is focused on operational planning and organization, not financial budgeting.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, roadmap, and backlog for Anaplan solutions supporting teacher operations and organizational planning

  • Drive the evolution from manual-based systems of record to governed Anaplan models

  • Ensure Anaplan solutions align with operational requirements and broader People Technology architecture

  • Act as the primary liaison between:

  • Operational users

  • The Anaplan integration and development team

  • The People Technology team focused on Workday

  • Translate manual-based workflows, calculations, and business rules into Anaplan requirements

  • Clearly articulate Anaplan’s role and value within a Workday-centric ecosystem

  • Partner with Anaplan architects and model builders to design and deliver solutions focused on:

  • Operational capacity and staffing structures

  • Scenario modeling and operational forecasting (non-financial)

  • Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics

  • Review and validate model builds to ensure usability, performance, and adherence to Anaplan best practices

  • Collaborate with integration teams to define data flows between Anaplan and upstream/downstream systems

  • Ensure data accuracy, model integrity, and alignment with established governance standards

  • Manage enhancements and iterative improvements to Anaplan solutions

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with Anaplan, including hands-on model design or solution ownership

  • Experience serving as a Product Owner or Functional Lead in a cross-functional delivery environment

  • Strong experience translating manual-based operational systems into enterprise planning tools

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Proven ability to operate at the intersection of business needs and technical delivery

Preferred Skills

  • Anaplan certification (Model Builder, Solution Architect, or equivalent)

  • Experience working alongside Workday or People Technology platforms

  • Background in workforce operations and people planning

  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills
