Job Title: Histology Technician

Location: Bothell, WA

Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm

Type: Contract

Compensation: $35-$42.20/hr
Overview
The Histology Technician will support spatial biology research focused on antibody-based therapeutic targets. This role contributes hands-on histology expertise to a collaborative lab environment, supporting multiple projects through sample processing and immunohistochemistry execution.
Responsibilities

• Process biological samples for downstream histological and spatial biology analyses.
• Perform immunohistochemistry (IHC) experiments using automated staining platforms.
• Conduct routine histology laboratory maintenance and upkeep.
• Maintain, organize, and catalog biospecimen inventories and repositories.
• Document experiments and sample data using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Collaborate with scientists across multiple projects to support research objectives.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in a biological science or related field.
• 1-2+ years of laboratory experience in a research or histology setting.
• Hands-on experience with histopathology techniques.
• Experience with tissue processing, embedding, and sectioning; preference for certified Histology Technicians (HT).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional research environment.
• Willingness and aptitude to learn new techniques, tools, and technologies.
