About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Data Integration Engineer to join our innovative team remotely. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data systems that support our business applications and intelligence initiatives. Under direct supervision, you will assist in creating scalable data pipelines, optimizing ETL workflows, and ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of our data platforms. Your expertise will contribute to our ongoing cloud migration efforts and enhance our data-driven decision-making processes. You will collaborate with stakeholders and third-party vendors to define business requirements, develop technical solutions, and implement automated processes that improve operational efficiency. Additionally, you will lead troubleshooting efforts, maintain comprehensive documentation, and develop scalable reporting and visualization solutions to support various business functions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Four or more years of experience in IT, with a focus on relational databases, data integration, and business intelligence
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL programming and optimization
- Extensive experience with ETL tools, particularly Microsoft SSIS
- Knowledge of version control systems, especially Microsoft DevOps
- Experience with SDLC processes and project management methodologies
- Understanding of data transformation, data warehousing, and reporting solutions
- Familiarity with Microsoft BI tools such as SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI (preferred)
- Knowledge of cloud-based data services like Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, or Databricks (preferred)
- Programming skills in Python or Java for data engineering tasks (preferred)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data integration processes and ETL workflows
- Create technical designs and functional specifications to ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability
- Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to gather and evaluate business requirements for data solutions
- Develop automated solutions to enhance business processes, productivity, and operational efficiency
- Maintain and troubleshoot ETL jobs, resolving critical production issues promptly
- Participate in off-hours support rotations to ensure continuous system availability
- Lead the development and maintenance of data platforms, ensuring adherence to organizational standards
- Document data processes, reports, and applications to facilitate knowledge sharing and consistency
- Design and deploy reporting dashboards and data visualizations to support business intelligence initiatives
- Contribute to cloud migration strategies and implement cloud-based data solutions as required
