Summary:
Seeking an experienced Medical Device Cybersecurity Engineer to ensure embedded and connected medical devices meet FDA cybersecurity requirements across the full product lifecycle, including design, development, regulatory submissions, and post-market surveillance.
Must-Have Skills:
Medical embedded devices security
VAPT (hardware & firmware), threat modeling
SAST, DAST, SCA, SBOM & SOUP analysis
DHF & RMF documentation
FDA regulations, 510(k) submissions
ISO 13485 & ISO 14971
Risk management & vulnerability management
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with FDA pre-market and post-market cybersecurity guidance
Support 510(k) cybersecurity documentation (risk assessments, SBOM, threat models)
Maintain DHF and RMF cybersecurity records
Perform cybersecurity risk management per ISO 14971
Conduct penetration testing and security assessments
Support post-market surveillance, CAPA, audits, and FDA inspections
Assess supplier and third-party cybersecurity risks
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
8+ years of cybersecurity experience, including medical devices
Strong experience with FDA cybersecurity guidance and regulatory documentation
