Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior System Engineer with 10 years of enterprise data platform experience to serve as a platform administrator for the State’s Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), built on the Teradata ecosystem. This role will provide technical leadership across Production, Test, and Development/Disaster Recovery platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalability for a large, mission-critical data environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead administration and architecture of the Enterprise Data Warehouse across Production, Test, and DR environments.
• Define technical strategy, roadmap, and implementation plans for EDW platform services and supporting technologies.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex platform, performance, and availability issues.
• Manage vendor relationships, including upgrade coordination, patch management, and support escalations.
• Provide operating system, security, and disaster recovery guidance for EDW systems and dependent business applications.
• Monitor and optimize platform performance, capacity, and resource utilization across Teradata environments.
• Provide expert-level technical guidance to agency DBAs and enterprise data specialists.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal security, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Support enterprise reporting, analytics, and data integration workloads.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10 years of experience supporting enterprise data warehouse platforms in large-scale environments.
• Deep expertise in Teradata database administration and the Teradata ecosystem.
• Extensive experience with Teradata upgrades, provisioning, software maintenance, and vendor releases.
• Strong scripting experience using BASH, Perl, Python, Glink.
• Hands-on experience with Teradata ecosystem health monitoring, node management, Viewpoint administration, TTU, and PSIM.
• Knowledge of statistics, auditing practices, and enterprise security planning.
• Hands-on experience supporting federal and regulatory compliance standards such as NIST 800-53, IRS Pub 1075, SSA, Medicaid, and related frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting large public-sector or government enterprise data platforms.
• Strong stakeholder communication and cross-agency collaboration skills.
• Experience leading platform modernization or cloud migration initiatives.
