Trading Associate

We’re working with a leading US power trading platform expanding its financial power trading capability across ERCOT and PJM. This role sits close to the trading desk and focuses on congestion, nodal pricing, and derivatives in US power markets.

Trading Associate Responsibilities:

Support financial power trading across ERCOT / PJM
Analyze and trade FTRs, nodal congestion, and term structures
Assist with hedging strategies used by hedge funds and proprietary trading desks
Model power prices, congestion, and spreads across key nodes and hubs
Execute and support trades in power derivatives, including swaps and options
Work with ICE and other commodity exchanges on cleared products
Partner closely with traders on risk management and portfolio optimization

Trading Associate Requirements

Experience in US power markets (ERCOT, PJM strongly preferred)
Hands-on exposure to FTRs, congestion, or nodal pricing
Understanding of power derivatives, swaps, and options
Background in commodity trading, power, or energy analytics
Familiarity with ICE or cleared commodity products
Strong analytical mindset; Python experience a plus
