Civil / Structural Engineer, PE

Summary:
The Structural Engineer coordinates with other engineering disciplines and designers to complete the designs for dozens of reinforced concrete foundations and steel structures included in natural gas plants

Responsibilities:
Coordination with team engineers, other engineering disciplines, designers, project manager and project schedulers to support construction schedule
Perform detailed structural engineering
Perform detailed checking of drawings, calculations, and documents of the team
Train and mentor team engineers
Provide responses for construction questions and issues that arise
Maintain status of various foundation and structures to support management inquiries Other duties as requested by Management

Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with ASCE 7, IBC, ACI 318 and PIP Standards
Proficiency with STAAD.Pro, RAM Connection, LPILE and Microsoft Office products
Ability to provide appropriate level of detailed evaluation to balance efforts to provide efficient and safe designs
Be able to evaluate structures and components that do not necessarily fit applicable code

Experience/Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in structural engineering, Professional Engineering license required .
2 years minimum experience in petrochemical plant design, foundations and structural steel
5 years minimum experience as a structural engineer
