Position: End User Device Service TechnicianIT Support Technician

Duration of Project: 10 months to start with

Location/Address: Austin, TX

Schedule: M-F, 8 AM-5 PM, with an hour for lunch. Hours may vary just slightly. Travel day, Sunday, if required for the site, No overtime.

Background check process takes patience and time to complete with the client.

If Travel – Travel to locations: minimal, mostly regional

Job Description:

  • Perform installation, modification, repair, testing, and/or servicing on laptops, desktops, and tablets, including, but not limited to hardware, peripherals, and software configuration as well as barcode scanners.
  • Incumbents service clients on-site in a hospital environment.
  • Replace user desktops, laptops, and tablets at the customer site.
  • This includes, but is not limited to, setting up the hardware, testing it to make sure it is working, identifying system hardware problems, and following any special instructions.
  • Transfer the user’s old files to the new device
  • Verify file transfer and basic software functionality with the end-user
